Ekamra, Sankha and Padma Kshetra (3Days & 1 Night)

Ekamra Kshetra or the temple city of Bhubaneswar is a series of ancient sandstone temples, heritage ponds and water tanks, its wealth of monuments is testament to an ancient continuous architectural and historical heritage covering over 2,000 years from the 3rd century BC to the 15th century AD. Puri is known by various names of which Sankha Kshetra is one. Sankha means conch shell. The geographical size of Puri resembles a right oriented conch shell, the ‘Dakshinavarta Sankha’. Konark is the Padma or the lotus kshetra. In fact, the temple was called PadmaKesara Deuland the presiding sun god was called Maha Bhaskara. Konark refers to the corner that worships the Aditya or Sun. The region is also called Arka Kshetra.

    Day 1

    Welcome at Arrival and drive to Lingaraj temple, Dhauli Stupa (Peace Pagoda), Pipli (Applique Work Village), Harirajpur (Artisan Village). Then proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel. On Evening visit of Lord Jagannath Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed). Night stay at Puri.

    Day 2

    Morning Darshan at Jagannath Temple (Non-Hindus are not allowed) at around 6 AM. Visit Local Sightseeing (Gundicha Temple, Lokanath Temple, Sonar Gouranga Temple, Bedi Hanuman Temple). Relax on the golden beach of Puri. Night stay at Puri..

    Day 3

    Early morning check out from hotel and drive to Ramachandi Temple, Chandrabahaga Beach and Konark Sun temple (also known as Black Pagoda- one of Heritage site of India). Then enroute to Bhubaneswar. Departure with Sweet Memories.
